Natural Skin Care Tips for Winter Season


Winter Season has arrived and before your skin gets to feel its effects like cold and dryness, you must start your skin care routine with our below mentioned natural skin care tips that will keep it soft and fresh.
  1. Stay Hydrated: Don't forget to drink your minimum intake of 8 glasses of water and Yes in winter too. Water not only helps you stay hydrated but it also helps maintain body temperature. If you keep your body hydrated then your skin will naturally follow the suit.
  2. Humidify: The humidity is quite low in winter so invest in a good humidifier to be placed in your bed room or living room to keep moisture at its nominal point inside your house in order to stay hydrated
  3. Moisturizer: Always use organic, oil based moisturizer as they help seal water under your skin for longer period of time. You can also use jojoba, olive and coconut oil as a natural skin care remedy to beat dryness.
  4. Eat More Fruits & Vegetables: In order to get your body and skin hydrated in winter you must get some portion of Cucumbers and Celery as they contain a lot of water. Veggies that are high in antioxidant and beta carotene are great for your skin like all orange and yellow vegs (eg: Carrots, pumpkin and red peppers). Also add some spinach and other leafy green vegetables in your diet to get good amount of Vitamin A, B, E, Iron and Omega 3s.
  5. Consume More Omega-3 Fats: If the top of your hands are not soft and smooth than it is considered that you've got omega-3 deficiency. Increase your intake of Salmon, walnuts and olive oil to overcome omega-3 deficiency.
  6. Avoid Chemicals: Remember that whatever you put on your skin goes in your body and blood stream. So avoid using chemical based soaps and lotions on your skin as they depletes natural oils from your skin. Choose wisely and get only natural organic products or essential oils for healthy skin.
  7. Dab On Some Coconut Oil: Pure coconut oil is known as a highly effective product for Skin Care as it fights free radicals in order to make your skin look youthful.
  8. Pomegranate Juice: This fruit is packed with poly-phenol antioxidants which fights free radicals and prevents cell aging.
  9. Exfoliate: As you gets aged, the natural ability of regenerating new layers of skin slows down. therefore some soft and gentle exfoliation will get rid of old or dead skin cells and reveals fresh and glowing skin.
  10. Sunscreen: Sunscreen is not only for summer so get some sun screen which can keep you protected from damaging sun rays between 10 am and 4 pm.
